What Causes Sharp Pain In The Chest On The Left Side?

I am having sharp pains in my chest on the left side toward the middle, and it feels like a stabbing pain going through to my back. I am a 5 year breast cancer survivor and I have implants which give me pain from time to time, but not like this. I was typing an email to my ex-husband where he s asking me for money I don t have, so obviously I m a bit stressed out.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello

It may be due to stress. Kindly consult with ER and do your ECG done and consult with cardiologist. Noe you can take tab. tylenol. Be stress free. Treatment mainly depends upon the underlying conditions. Do you have any other disease like diabetes, high blood pressure or raised lipid levels, follow with details.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
