What Causes Sharp Pain In The Chest?

Hi Dr. Rynne , I m having sharp chest pain on both sides, as if, somebody is sticking safety pins in my chest , and punching it real hard on a daily basis!!!! This has been going on for almost a most, while my regular physician calls it, palpatations !!! I refuse to be dismissed like that. Because this is happening too much, and I m very scared!!! My father died of a massive heart attack in 1988, and so did most of his family, especially the males by the age of 62/63. please tell me what s wrong with me, Dr.Rynne? Kind regards, Mrs. Alyce Mallard Webb

Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

Would advsie you to do a 2D echordiography and CT scan of upper abdomen to come to exact diagnosis of your chest pain. Take proton pump inhibitor group of drugs twice daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Monish De, Oncologist
