What Causes Sharp Pain In The Head Behind The Right Ear?
several weeks ago, I had a sharp pain in my head (behind right ear) that lasted about 5-8 sec. has happened couple times since then. a week ago, I fell down and hit my head hard (didn t break my fall) and now have a dull ache in that same area. is this something I need to go see a dr over YYYY@YYYY
I can understand your concern. It is possible that you have infection in the right ear which is mild so not causing you any severe symptoms or pain. The pain might not have any relation with the fall.
I suggest that you should do a course of antibiotics. Taking Cefixime 200 mg (Topcef) twice a day for 5 days can help you in relieving the pain.
However, if the pain is not subsided and you feel increase in the frequency and intensity, you should consult a physician or an ENT specialist.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
