What Causes Sharp Pain In The Head While Treating Chiari Malformation?

I have Chiari one malformation and had decompression surgery and a lapendectimy? 4 years ago. I am experiencing sharp stabbing pains in my head to the point my wife can visually see my head pulse and also makes my eyes hurt. I went to a neurologist and he gave me a few different very expensive perscriptions. None of them worked. Also I can hear a leaking sound when I move my neck. It has been happening daily for almost a week. It has happened often in the past but never so many consecutive days.

Hi,
Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. Please find my advice below-
1)Do a MRI once
2)DO full blood count, basal metabolic panel, PT, aPTT, chest radiograph, and ECG.
3)use of a soft collar and take combiflam if pain hurts you
4)Do a clinical neuro examination if finding is negative nothing to be worried.
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.
