I am 86 years old. Over the past 3 days I have been experiencing fairly sharp pain in my left hip & radiating down the left leg, making it very difficult for me to walk. I ve always led a very active life so this is really tough to deal with ! What do you advise ? Ivan Cassidy
hi sir/madam,you are suffering from sciatica or sciatic nerve pain.this occurs due to lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse or stain on that disc.first and foremost you need to take complete bed rest for atleast 2 weeks.along with that you can use some pain relief medication like tramadol with paracetamol combination for a week or so.once the pain gets subsided, you can go for physiotherapy.take care.bye.
