What Causes Sharp Pain In The Lower Abdomen During Pregnancy?
Hello, i m 39 and 5ft 4inches, weigh 92kg and have had 2 miscarriages in the last 14months. i just found out i m a little over 6weeks pregnant and have been experiencing this sharp pain on my right lower abdomen (below the appendix line - i had an appendectomy about 10yrs ago) and the doctor recommended 10mg of duphaston for the next 2 weeks, i also have been taking a drug called pronatal for about 2 months. I ve not been able to sleep well cos of fear of seeing blood stains and i dont know if i am even taking the right drugs.
The sharp right lower abdomen pain with spotting of blood per vagina and previous history of miscarriage, indicates possible miscarriage or pelvic inflammation condition most likely. An immediate ultrasound scan evaluation is mandatory to look into the cause of pain as status of ovary, fallopian tubes and uterus.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
