What Causes Sharp Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Right Side?

I woke up around 6:30 a.m. with a sharp pain in my lower right abdomen. It didn t last long and after taking motrin, I was able to go back to sleep. When I woke up later, I did not have any pain. Before I was able to go back to sleep, I felt light headed, I was sweating and felt sick. This lasted about 5 minutes.

Hi,

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your stomach cramps and feverish episode.

As your history suggest pain and symptoms of infection of intestinal area because if it would have been gastric or peptic ulcer pain which also present in morning hours it would have been aggravated by ibuprofen medication.

You need to visit a general physician for further evaluation as it could be also UTI too.

You must take ofloxicin medication twice daily for a week in consultation with your doctor. Also take good amount of fluids to keep yourself properly hydrated.

Hope. My answer will be helpful to you and visit us back if you have any questions further.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
