What Causes Sharp Pain In The Lower Abdomen Radiating Towards Vagina?
hi, every now and then i get a REALLY sharp pain in my vagina and it goes up to the lower part of my belly, and only lasts a few minutes, but its really sharp and stabbing like. i also just realised i have a few lumps in my vagina, around the clit. what could this be?
From your description, it appears that the pain has been appearing on and off for quite a while. If it is so, then you do need to visit your local doctor for a thorough check. It could be something as simple as a urine infection, or something more complicated like endometriosis, or, depending on your risk factors (older age, family history), even something as nasty as cancer. I think that your problem needs a thorough physical examination by your local doctor. After that, they would probably start with a simple urine test, and only proceed with further investigations as needed.
The lumps around the clitoris also needs to be viewed to be diagnosed. It is likely something simple like blocked glands, but will need to be confirmed at the same consultation.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Dr. Teh
