Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yesterday, I experienced a sharp pain in my lower back which I think is a pulled muscle. No real injury happened - I just twisted the wrong way and hurt it. The only thing strange is that there is a bruise showing up on my back with some red veins...How could it bruise if I did not bang my back on anything? Thank you
The injury you had involved the small blood vessels on your skin (around the injured muscles). This explains why you noted some bruise on your back. Apply cold compress locally for the first 72 hours. After that, apply alternating warm and cold compress untilfully recovered. Take oral pain killers. It will disappear in a few days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Albana Sejdini
