What Causes Sharp Pain In The Right Knee While Sitting Or Standing?

Hi, I am having a sharp pain in my right knee whenever I try to sit or stand. This only happens for a couple of seconds when my legs and thighs are around 100-120 degree angle. I am currently undergoing treatment for TB and my Uric Levels are higher than normal. My doctor said that it may be due to the medication I am currently on. Please suggest how to proceed.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A sharp pain only for moments is unlikely due to TB drug. Your condition represent some other bony lesion and for which an MRI of knee will be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
