What Causes Sharp Pain In The Right Pelvic Area?

I am having a sharp pain in my right pelvic area just above the pelvic bone. it is vertical and is about 1 inch in length. I do have iliac stints, but the pulse seems strong on both sides. I have not injured myself and am not having any other symptoms. It is not made worse/better with rest or movement. I am 59 years old and my health is poor. I had a hysterectomy 37 years ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would like to give some tests:

1. Hip X-Ray
2. Complete Blood Test
3. Kidney Function Tests
4. Lower Abdomen USG
5. Urine analysis

I would like to ask you:

1. Is there any little bleeding from vagina?
2. Is there any pain in hip bones?
3. Is there any cramping pain inside pelvic?
4. Is your urination seems normal in terms of frequency, amount, color?

If there is too much pain, you can take Ibuprofen when needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
