What Causes Sharp Pain In The Upper Abdomen?
Hi,I have recently started taking Cozaar for hypertension as my BP had been creeping upwards - highest reading 164/65. It is now most often is in the 140/75 range. All night I have been awake with a sharp pain in my upper abdomen/lower chest. My BP currently 152/79. Should I not wait for my Dr to open but visit the ER?

Consult a gastroenterologist and plan for an ultrasound scan.
Most probably it will be due to conditions like acid reflux.
As of now you can take antacids like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole for symptomatic relief.
