Hello,
Although, weight gain may be a factor, I suggest you to do some tests:
1. X-Ray of the Hip.
2. Complete
Blood Test including RF, anti-citrullinated antibodies
3. USG of the Hip
X-Ray is given in order to see the status of
Hip bone and
Ultrasound or USG is given to check the status of tendon or fluid accumulation, etc.
Now, if everything comes normal, you can go to Physiotherapist to take some
Physical therapy sessions. This may also be due to a pinched nerve.
I also advise you to control the weight. Feed on a healthy diet, keep yourself hydrated and maintain electrolytes balance.
If there is too much pain, please take
Ibuprofen.
Warm compress can also be applied on the designated area of pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
