What Causes Sharp Pain On Left Side Of Abdomen Post Gall Bladder Removal?
3 months ago, I had severe gall bladder problems causing stones to enter the liver duct and possible pancreas duct. surgery was done to clean all the dissolved stones and gall bladder removed. 6 weeks ago, I started taking Lipitor. I am having sharp pain on my left side when trying to take a deep breath or when I lay on that side. could the Lipitor be causing the pain.it aches when I move sometimes ,but always a sharp pain when I breath hard. being on oxygen, I breath hard almost constantly. thank you.
Treatment depends upon the cause of pain. You need to be examined thoroughly and investigations may be necessary like ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis, chest X-ray and complete blood picture. To arrive at a specific diagnosis and initiate appropriate treatment, you need to consult a general surgeon as soon as possible.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
