Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sharp Pain On The Right Side Of The Lower Abdomen?
I just experienced sharp, shooting pains in my right side, it didnt feel like kidney or female pain. Felt like muscle pain. I had my gall bladder out last year. The pain was about 1 step below the worst episode of gall bladder pain I had. Doesnt feel like I pulled a muscle. I am 61, diabetic(pill only), and not very athletic.
The symptoms seem to be related to a pulled muscle. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. If the symptoms continue, I suggest to do an ultrasound for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
