What Causes Sharp Pain Under The Left Rib Area After Eating Food?

I have been diagnosed with acid reflux and made the mistake of eating while in bed. After getting up after about if minutes I felt sort of faint and started getting a sharp pain under my left rib with a little tingle in my upper left arm. Is that normal?

Hello,

You have a history of Acid Reflux (GERD). It happens because the stomach acid flows back into the food pipe.

GERD commonly occurs due to obesity, low level of physical exercises, smoking(active/passive) & certain medications.

Stay away from addictions if any. Avoid tran fat, oily spicy junk food, avoid refined flour, maintain the timing of your eating habits, eat small meals that are easily digestible.

Spend less time on the bed. Avoid eating in your bed room. Take the medicines you have been prescribed by your treating doctor. You can take Antacids to get relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
