Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What causes sharp penis pain at random times during the day? I get stabbing pains in my penis 3-4 times a day, sometimes for 30 seconds, sometimes for 4 hours. I ve been dealing with this off and on for 3 months. Originally was thought to be a kidney stone but I have had multiple x rays, ultrasounds, and ct scans that show no stone. I had blood in my urine, because of this I had a cystopic (?) procedure which also showed nothing. Have had urine tests that show no bacteria, only red blood cells. When urinating I get pain in a specific area in my pubic area. This area seems to be slightly swollen as well. Penis pain seems to happen most often after I pass stool. Thank you!
* As per my clinical experience, the sharp pain in penis at random times do indicate possibility of
- prostate inflammation as prostatitis
- urinary infection with gram negative bug as E.coli or others
- narrowing of urethra as stricture or urethritis
- cystitis
- others
However, a clinical examination with evaluation of reports available are must to discuss further in this case to explore all possibilities and further guidelines options.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
