What Causes Sharp Right Abdominal Pain In A Diabetic Patient?

Hi my name is Cheryl and i have been having kidney pain on my right side for about a month now. i have had urine test and there is nothing there. But every day i get this pain could happen from 1 - 12 episodes a day. Feels like a needle is being shoved into my kidney each time and will only last up to 5 seconds but it will stop me in my tracks. I am a Diabetic and am on Insulin Type 2. About 33 years ago a very tiny stone got stuck in the tube going from Kidney to Bladder (this was caused by a blockage in the tube), this hospitalised me for a few days as i was running temp, vomiting and excruitating pain. Since then i have only had slight discomfort in kidneys until now. Sorry I do not have any money to pay for this service. Thanks Cheryl

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the previous history is suggestive of renal stone then right now it need to be ruled out for this, and better to get done the x-ray of kidney, ureter, and bladder, it may not be renal colic, till then you can try "Tab Dicyclomine with Acetaminophen" three times in day hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
