What Causes Sharp Shooting Abdominal Pain Post A Ovarian Cystectomy?
Hi i had a large ovarian cyst on my left side removed in november. Over the past few weeks ive been having sharp shooting cramping pain on my right side in a specific area if i sneeze when laying down. What could this be? This area also feels slightly bruised. But not sure if thats related and the bruised feeling has been there longer
It may or may not be related to that surgery. Any post surgical adhesions or infection can present like this however on being at other side altogether makes it less likely. Also the duration is long for that to be present. Any other pathology like appendix or right ovarian cyst etc for being on right side, or viceral pathology should be ruled out. I suggest you should take fresh ultrasound scan as well as CT abdomen and pelvis, and a surgeons review as well. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen along with anti spasmodic like drotavarine can be helpful for symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
