What Causes Sharp Stabbing Pain Below The Chest?

Hi, My friend Jason has been sick since last Friday (6 days). It initially started with fever, body aches and vomiting. The fever broke but he still has body aches. He is also experiencing sharp stabbing pains on his left side just below his chest.

Hello. He will need to be examined. Does he have cough? How is the vomiting now. Fever with body ache is usually seen with viral fever but can be of many other causes as well. Regards.
