What Causes Sharp Stabbing Pain On The Knees?

Hi about 4month ago l fell, l didn t seem to have hurt my knee at the time but 8weeks on and I ve had unbearable pain in my knee, at times it s sharp stabbing pains starts on the inside of my knee and goes across the front, also at times a strong nagging pain,and a stinging pain, if I m walking l have to stand still till it eases off,also now and then l get this sharp pain and my knee feels like it s gone thru to the back of the knee, its getting me down ,

Hi,

This could be tendon rupture secondary to the trauma. You should get X-ray of the knee done and get consultation from orthopedic surgeon. Over the counter analgesics like ibuprofen and acetaminophen may help and avoid over use of the knee especially bending.
