Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son who is 12 years old has sharp pain in stomach area which will not allow him to stand up straight or put his hands over his head. He also vomited. Could that be an air bubble or something more serious. When he lays on his side, the pain is more tolerable
I believe he has developed pancreatitis but it needs to be evaluated properly for further management Till then you can give him BAscopan or Drotin twice in a day and Syp. Mucain gel after every meal, and Ondem 4 mg before meals.
I am writing some investigations which are to be done: CBC, LFT, Sr.Amylase, Lipase, USG abdomen.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
