What Causes Sharp Stomach Pains And Sulphuric Burps?

Hello,

I had a bad nights sleep due to what I thought was trapped gas after eating take-away food for the first time in months after being on a healthy food living plan. The follow day I had diahrrea, which I ended up taking Imodium for and it stopped. The following day I got sulphuric burps and it wouldn't stop so I took pepto bismol and now today I have such sharp stomach pains and have gas both ends also very sulphuric. What is this? Is there anything I can do?

Hi,
You are suffering from gastroenteritis also known as stomach flu.It is an intestinal infection marked by diarrhoea, cramps, nausea, vomiting and fever. However all symptoms are not present in every patient.Bacterial and viral infection causes inflammation in your stomach and intestines causing symptoms like vomiting, severe abdominal cramps, and diarrhea.
Treatment
Take imodium(Loperamide) 2mg one tablet stat.
Start taking a probiotic twice daily,Probiotics contains lactobacillus. These bacteria's help in proper digestion of food and will help to revive your depleted gastric flora.
Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration–You need to drink more than usual to replace the fluids lost from diarrhoea.
Anti spasmodics can also be taken.
Acetaminophen can be taken for pain.
