What Causes Shivering In A Diabetic And Heart Patient?

My Father -in -law is diabetic & heart patient. Yesterday his Blood Sugar was 380 we took him to hospital. All reports were ok he was discharged. This morning there was little delay in breakfast and he started shivering. May i know the reasons?

The logical explanation would be that you father in law has gone for low sugars. Since you said the hospital reports were ok you need to double check if your meter is working properly. Secondly seeing the sugars if the physicians have altered the medicines hypoglycemia is a possibility. Third and the most important reason is that for a diabetic patient timing of food is very important. Any delay can cause hypoglycemia. You can keep a tablet called HYPOTAB 4mg at home to handle hypoglycemic emergencies. Please call your glucometer toll free number for glucometer calibration..
