Hi.
I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

pain at the back of the Knees & legs could be due to many conditions. It includes Baker's cyst, ligament injury, calf strain, tendonitis, Meniscus tear etc.

I advice you to,
- Rest & not to bare body weight & strain the knees.
- a compression bandage would be helpful & also ice pack with affected leg elevation
- Analgesics
-  Xray of hip with knee, ankle & foot on the affected side.
- Also do blood investigations like ASO titre, CRP, RA factors if suspecting arthritis.
- Consult your doctor for further assistance

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
