What Causes Short Term Memory Loss Along With Sleepiness Post Trauma?

87 year old female recently fell on her face on ceramic tile, but did not go see a dr until a week later, CT scan shows a fractured nose, since then her short term memory has deteriated to the point she cant recall if she had dinner or not. Also, she used to be quite active but now sleeps most of the time. Her diabetes is well controlled with just diet, no meds.

Based on the symptoms mentioned, she may need to be reassessed because she is exhibiting symptoms suggesting that there maybe some level of brain injury.

She may need a repeat brain ct to see if there are any changes.

It would be best to take her to see a neurologist. He or she would be the best person to assess her.
