What Causes Shortness Of Breath Along With Wheezing And Fatigue?

I have been congested for about a year, shortness of breath, wheezing, fatigue. I had a mold problem, rat ate through outside pipe, leak etc. Mold in house cleared up, but above symptoms continue with recent bad cough. Diagnosed with severe asthma, but no tx including steroids worked, I am 65 years old and never had ashtma before. Dr. tested for congestive heart failure, EKG showed heart fine, blood pumping in and out. What about lung fungus and treatment?

Hi,

Friend, although asthma has a hereditary component, it also has a very important allergic component. Allergies, including asthma, are triggered by allergens, among them; viruses, bacteria, fungi, chemicals (eg, disinfectants, perfumes, dust).

You have had multiple treatments, which you mentioned have failed. It is important to keep in mind, that as long as the allergen is not eliminated, you will have these relapses.

If that truly It is also recommended to perform a sputum culture, although most likely, with the time that you are experiencing these symptoms, your doctor probably requested it.

The fungus is not visible in your home, work etc. can be present if your doctor has already ruled out cardiac pathology.

You have to rule out an infectious pathology, It would be very helpful if you have a full haematology and Rx of the thorax and also the results of the sputum culture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
