Hello. My husband is 53 years old. He has numerous symptoms going on as follows: shortness of breath, hoarseness (has to clear his throat a lot), wheezing when inhaling, muscle fasciculation, muscle aches at night especially in his legs (painful, not restless legs) shortly after going to bed; unable to sleep through the night; weight gain and puffy eyes; fatigue; water retention. He takes Triamterene/HCTZ 3.75/25 mg 1 qd (Rx); Pravastatin 20 mg 1 qod hs (Rx). OTC meds include Omeprazole Delayed Release Tabs 1 qd; Loratadine 10 mg qd for allergies; Vitamin D3 2000 UI 1 qd; One Daily Men s Health Multivitamin 1 qd; Omega-3 Fish Oil 1200 mg 6 caps qd; Milk Thistle 175 mg 2 tabs qd; Fiber Caps 3 caps daily; Low Dose Aspirin 81 mg 1 qd hs; CoQ-10 100 mg 1 qd hs. He exercises daily - rides stationary bike 8 miles/day during the week, and is active all day long. He is concerned because he continues to gain weight even though we are eating healthy and not in excess. We get regular bloodwork screenings every 6 months to a year. Family physician has been unable to pinpoint the problem. Any ideas? Thank you.
