What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Fatigue?

My female friend is 53 and was hospitalized this week for shortness of breath and general fatique. They did a catheter to put in a stint but when in there said it wasn t necessary. They have done extensive blood test, stress test, chest x-ray and exams but all appear normal. Today I went to help her and she was pure white, her skin was cold but she was sweating profusly- if she hadn t just been released we would have thought she was having a heart attack, an hour later she felt better but is just not right....I am concerned about her. Sorry I should not have started this as I don t know all the meds she takes etc.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your concern is very understandable. Based on the symptoms described, anyone would believe that she is having a heart attack.

Very low blood sugar or blood pressure can also cause these symptoms as well as hormonal disorders (not normally routinely tested when considering heart disease.

It would be best for her to be reassessed by her doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
