What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Leg Cramps While On Spironlactone?

I have taken spironolactone for a week. O I am d Experiencing many of the listed side effects including shortness of breath, constriction in my throat(mild), tingling in fingers, leg cramps, some light headed ness and dizziness. It is doing a good job controlling my blood pressure and reducing swelling. Should I stop taking it?

Hello,

If the symptoms started once you started to take spironolactone, then, I think should stop taking it and report to your caring doctor. He/she might switch to another diuretic and observe if the symptoms will disappear.

If not, then, should look for other cardiovascular or pulmonary problems.
