What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Shivering?

As i got home from the gym and finished a protein shake, i started to have shortness of breath to the point where i had to use an inhaler and i was burning up. Breathing went back to normal then i started to get the shivers uncontrollably and had to sit in the shower for about a half hour before i wasnt shivering. I am okay at the moment but something still doesnt feel right. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that you have an acute infection. This would cause the fever and chills and would also aggravate your asthma.

Your can monitor for any additional symptoms or a recurrence.
The use of paracetamol would help if the fever recurs.

Your doctor would be able to pinpoint the source of the infection through physical examination.

I hope this helps
