What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Tight Sensation In The Chest?
My daughter is 32 slim healthy. Last couple days has higher blood pressure 160/118 pulse 119. Just got these stats after she had been asleep for 30 min. Problems are worse when she wakes up. She wakes up with very shallow fast breathing, shortness of breath, tightness in her chest and a lot of soreness from the short fast breathing. She feels worn down. What could be causing these symptoms. She says she not stressed or worried about anything. She says it feels like theres no room for air in her chest??? Sorry dont have the funds for your service.
Based on your query, I would like to rule out heart disease. Any breathlessness should be immediately investigated. All her symptoms point towards heart disease. Even though she looks healthy, we need to be certain. I recommend : -an urgent physician and cardiologist consult -an electrocardiogram and echocardiogram -a CT of the chest and abdomen to check for aneurysms. -an angiogram if required -blood tests (complete blood count, lipid profile, glucose levels, thyroid stimulating hormone levels, kidney and liver function tests).
Please do this asap. Hope this helps. Wish you both good health.
