What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Tingling Sensation In Hands?

Hi, I have been experiencing a shortness of breath and I feel as if I cant take in a full breath. When I wake up in the morning, I feel as if I can breath fine and I am pretty sure that I am sleeping throughout the night without any problem. I take 15 mg of aderall in the morning and another 10mg around 4. I am a waiter and I have been smoking on and off for the past 10 years. I am 27 years old and I am a male. I was driving home the other night and I smoked a cigarette and I had to pull over because I wasn t able to take in deep breaths, which caused me to feel tingling in both hands and felt as if I were going to pass out because I became lightheaded. I am going to urgent care tomorrow but would like to know if you have any idea what could be wrong with me?

I can understand your concern.
Breathlessness in a person who smokes is due to COPD or chest infection. Get a chest x ray done, if your chest x ray is normal, no need to worry for lung infection.
Possibility of COPD is more in your case.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT is needed for the diagnosis of COPD.
It will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
Also STOP SMOKING at the earliest.

Don't worry, you will be alright.
