My daughter, 14, was playing a game of ultimate frisbee. Running at full speed she collided with another player, whose shoulder impacted her upper abdomen, between the ribs. She later said she has never had the wind knocked out of her that way before. It took her a few minutes or more to recover. Since, she has been short of breath or can t take deep breaths, and has had pain in the high abdomen (diaghragm?). She is a singer, and is about to go to a School competition where she is scheduled to sing in a special group and a solo. She can t sing normally, can t hit high notes. She mentioned that her fit bit indicates that her heart rate was elevated all day today at school (sitting). She has lost her appetite (extremely rare and uncharacteristic) and has trouble eating as she feels full or like something is taking up space .
