Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Shortness Of Breath, Chills And Extreme Fatigue?
Husband has had shortness of breath, chills, extreme fatigue, sweating for 3 months. Had acute pancreatitis 8 weeks ago and was hospitalized for 4 days. Felt better for 3 weeks and now has previous mentioned symptoms. Does not have chronic sinusitis. Heart and liver good
Based on the history you have shared, it can be recurrence of pancreatitis as chronic diseases or any other infection of biliary tract which can also cause pancreatitis. E. coli is a bacteria which causes such infections and present with gastric symptoms like you shared.
Blood cultures as well as baseline blood work up needs to be repeated. Other systemic infection like enteric, etc. should also be ruled out. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be used.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
