My husband is short of breath a lot, what could it be, he doesn't smoke, he chews, and he drinks alot he's not over weight, he's 62 yr. old, he don't drink every day but when he does drink he will drinks for days, anywhere from 2 to 3 or more days
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is breathlessness with no history of asthma, then it is advisable to get done the cardiac evaluation tests, like EKG, ECHO, and stress test, these would rule out the possibility of cardiac disease, second allergic condition might the reason for shortness of breath, it is advisable to get done the routine blood test, here the underlying cause is must to know, hope this information helps, take care.
