What Causes Shortness Of Breath , Pressure On Adam S Apple And Upper Stomach?
About 4 weeks ago I was taking Prednisone for a skin inflammation problem on my hands and feet and I started to feel like I was short of breath with a feeling pressure on my adams apple, I quit taking the prednisone as I was feeling really short of breath, now, a month later the symptoms of shortness of breath and pressure on my adams apple are increasing and also I now have a feeling of being punched in my upper stomach area just below my rib cage.
Shortness of breath, pressure on Adam's apple and upper stomach could the side effect of prednisone which you took for skin inflammation on hands and feet.
But if you have stop taking it further and still you have the same symptoms after a month then it needs to be checked by further examination and relevant tests.
You should see a physician who may conduct complete clinical examination of respiratory system along with throat and may order routine blood works, chest X-ray and pulmonary function tests.
You may take broncho-dilators in MDI (salbutamol or terbutaline) and pain killers for symptomatic relief.
