What Causes Shortness Of Breath, Pulmonary Hyperinflation And Upper Back Pain?

I have been diagnosed with asthma. Had a pft done. I have shortness of breath, feeling of needing a full breath almost all the time and X-ray showed hyperinflation of my lungs. Pft also stated that it cannot completely exclude very early copd with asthmatic component. Flow volume loop slightly scoops at low lung function. Now the past few weeks I am having upper and mid back pain. Can asthma cause this or are they missing something. Dr said nothing else showed on xray but is xray enough to tell?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, back pain may not be due to asthma but it could be due to muscular spasm and it may be due to poor posture if this is the allergic asthma then causative factor need to be found out, till then bronchodilator can be used, if you are qualified for steroid then it can be tired gives good result hope this information helps.
