What Causes Shortness Of Breath, Rapid Palpitation And Weakness?
Hi, My mother (83) has been taking Glocufage for some time now, recently added Janovia, and more recently added Stator. A few days ago she was rushed to ER after experiencing shortage of breath and rapid palpitation. Blood tests from the hospital showed normal rates of cholesterol and sugar for the first time in years, but she is weak for no obvious reason. Could this be a side effect of one or more of these drugs or of an interaction between them or between one of them and herbal formulae she's been taking for years?
In my opinion your grandmother may have statin toxicity. Statins may cause in inflammation in all muscles and this is called as generalised myalgia. In this patient is having painful body movement and due to this feel weak and lethargic. Other possibility is old age. So consult with your doctor and discuss this things.
