My husband has been suffering from severe shortness of breath with any activity. Currently waiting for test results with cardiologist appointment on Feb. 2. Yesterday driving home from store he got light headed, short of breath, irregular heartbeat and tremors almost didn’t make it home. Had ambulances pick him up, hospital exam found nothing. Condition has been going on for months.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It is strange that with such symptoms the hospital examination was negative. He must be assessed by stressechocardiography and chest X-ray PA view plus tests such as Hb, TLC, DLC, ESR and blood sugar level. Before meeting your cardiologist get basic tests as ECG, blood pressure and Hb level. I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions. Regards, Dr. Varinder Joshi
