What Causes Shortness Of Breath While On Cardiac Stents?
I have three stents in my heart and am on a lot of meds. My feet and legs most notedly my left are worse. I have also some sob after taking my meds and at other times. I have diabeter2 . I a, 5 4 and weigh about 225 and have lost 50lbs. I have told and asked my cardiologist, me family dr and my endocrinologist. I get no answers other than more meds will cause kidney probs. I am at the end of my rope. I cannot deal with this swelling forever. Just hoping for some answers. My email is not currently working either. Any other way to help me?
I think you may be suffering from heart failure which may need treatment with antiplatelet drugs, antidiabetic medication with vasodilator with anti-cholesterol medication.
Avoid high salt intake, drink a limited quantity of fluids, continue antidiabetic medication.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get echocardiogram, blood sugar and blood pressure. please consult your Cardiologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

I don t how much is the ejection fraction of your heart. other possibilities of leg swelling like deep venous thrombosis or cellulitis due to uncontrolled diabetes. Septicemia may also aggravate the problem. Avoid high salt intake, drink a limited quantity of fluids, continue antidiabetic medication. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
