What Causes Shortness Of Breath While Suffering From Emphysema?
I was diagnosed with emphysema and scar tissue at bottom of both lungs.Recently I have become short of breath and my pulmonologist can t determine the cause. In reading info I was exposed to bat droppings while visiting a cave approx. 2 1/2 years ago.Could this be the the problem?
If you're already COPD patient means you are prone to develop repeated exacerbation of asthma. It may aggravated by smoking or cold climate or food or pollen or animal dander or birds or bat dripping may cause this problem.
You may have to avoid allergens use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use bronchodilators and antibiotics. please get it done spirometry, gold scoring, HRCT chest then consult your pulmonologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
