I have just been told I have bilateral clots by an impatient Doctor who treated me six weeks ago .? Appeared annoyed that I was back with Shortness of breathe etc.after CT scan. Is there a good chance that I had some clotting six weeks ago ?.Now I m afraid of exercising how should I progress. I am on the waiting list for orthopaedic surgery.Does this prevent me from having surgery.

What Causes Shortness Of Breath?
Hi welcome to the health care magic You have been treated for clotting disorder. For confirmation of clotting disorder D dimer, angiography, echocardiography like investigations done as per location of clot You might be given anticoagulant drug like heparin for clot removal If heparin given then clot might be cleared after six week, so no worry in that If you provide your reports then it can be said whether clot was present or not If you have clotting disorder and if you are on anticoagulant drug then surgery should be delayed Take care Hope your concern solved Consult physician for examination and further work up accordingly
