What Causes Shoulder Pain Upon Moving The Arms?

Ihave shoulder pain, related to joint movement usually.. For example, if I raise my arm out to the side, palm down, its fine, but palm up the pain is extreme. I am also limited in movement quite significantly, specifically above shoulder height are backwards from vertical. I suspect this is posterior GHL stress ( jnot a tear because theres no injury factor) related to a bad bed.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The pain you are feeling when you palm up and limited movements above shoulder height backwards from vertical could be due to posterior GHL stress. However, you need to run MRI and X-ray of the shoulder joint to confirm this.

For the moment, I can only advise to apply cold compresses locally and to avoid movements that would generate pain. Apply analgesic cream and essential oils locally. Take oral analgesic like Ibuprofen or Paracetamol.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini
