What Causes Shoulder Weakness Long After Having A Ruptured Biceps Tendon?

Hi.I ruptured the long head biceps tendon in my right arm 3 weeks ago. I am a 52 year old active woman and need advice on whether I should have the biceps reattached. My biggest concern about conservative treatment is long term effects on the shoulder and limited strength while performing certain activities such as lifting (my job requires a lot of lifting) and recreational activities such as fishing and paddleboarding.Love to hear your thoughts Suzanne

before thinking about any treatment consult surgeon for examination and diagnosis. first use crape bandage and give rest to arm for natural recovery. you have to wait for your recovery for resuming lifting job. take opinion of doctor before resuming your job.
