What Causes Sickness And Burning Sensation In Throat After Quitting Smoking?
Hey. I quit smoking and then got sick immediately, and now my throat burns pretty badly in the morning when I wake up and in the evenings after around 8pm. I ve heard this is a common problem, but the thing is, I only smoked for about 2 months. Is that long enough to warrant such a painful withdrawal?
The symptoms seem to be related to smoking withdrawal. Most of this symptoms is gone within 2 to 4 weeks. Heavy smokers may have it a little bit longer.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
