Hello dear patient!
Welcome to HCM!

The congestion you are describing in you query may indicate sinusitis if you have passed a cold or flu before this is more possible. But also it happens sometimes just like that and may have not pain at all. Purulent rhinitis should be taken into consideration too.

Yellow and green secretions indicate an infection of your upper respiratory tract and should be treated with antibiotics.

I would recommend the following treatment if i'd be your primary doctor:
- Augmentin twice daily for the infection
- Bromhexine or Ambroxol for the excessive mucous
- Xylometazoline spray to treat the congestion and release the nose airways.

Take a lot of fluids, fruits and vegetables which contain a lot of vitamins.

I wish you all the best!
Dr Eriol.
