General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Sinus pain is commonly caused by inflammation of the sinus, deviated nasal septum, common cold, polyps, stress, etc. Sustained stress may make body vulnerable to the effects of allergens, germs, bacteria, viruses, infections. Avoid stressful lifestyle. Infection causes nasal blocks, congestion that causes difficulty breathing through your nose, and pain and swelling around your eyes, ears, nose or throat.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT, get sputum and swab tests done. You will be treated with a course of antibiotics (Augmentin / Doxycycline) and analgesics / NSAIDS (Combiflam, Naproxen). Antihistamines may effectively reduce the symptoms. Get X-ray PNS done. You may be recommended surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
