What Causes Skin Breakouts And Bumps At The Age Of 65?

I am 65 and still get breakouts. I have stopped using anything except water, eye makeup remover and baking soda because everything clogs my ores, even prescription meds. Only thing is I have no protection cause lotions, creams and serums still clog and cause breakouts and bumps. Please advise!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The breakouts and bumps might be related to hormonal level alterations as post menopause there are changes in hormone levels seen. It can be an allergic reaction to some products that you apply on face. I suggest using make up remover that does not contain harmful chemicals.

For a better understanding I suggest you visit a dermatologist and get it examined. The doctor might suggest few blood tests if required. Follow his advice regarding medical management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
