What Causes Skin Cracks On Foreskin After Taking Isotrin For Acne?

Hi Dr, I am facing acne problems on my face n back. My dermatologist has prescribed me isotrin 20 for a month followed by 10mg next month. I have recently observed cracks on my foreskin ... Is it one of the side effect of isotrin?? Pls help me with the treatement for cracks

Hi.
As per your case history of cracks on foreskin
My treatment advice is-
1. Isotroin 20 mg may lead to dryness of skin which is mostly seen on hands and lips. So cracks on foreskin is less likely due to it.
2. It may be a fungal infection leading to balanitis. Apply a mild anti-fungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily
3. If condition persisits beyond 1 week then consult a dermatologist for perfect diagnosis and treatment.
